Reaching the end of a job interview, the human resources person asked a young engineer fresh out of college,
"And what starting salary are you looking for?"
The engineer said, "Around $125,000 a year."
The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to a package of 5-weeks’ vacation, paid holidays, full medical and dental insurance, 100% raise every 6 months, and a company car - say, a red Corvette?"
The young man sat up straight with joy and said, "Wow! You must be kidding?"
And the interviewer replied in a cool manner, "Yeah… but you started it."
